QuickPost WordPress Plugin – Version .4 is now available

QuickPost WordPress plugin

I added two new features that were being requested by the users.

  1. Ability to turn the WYSIWYG editor on or off in the plugin admin page
  2. Ability to define a unique default category per posting type in the plugin admin page

Let me know if you find any issues.

Just installed it on a test blog and I love it, thanks for your hard work.
Unfortunately I am getting every QuickPost published twice right now (and I suppose that’s makes it a not-so-quick-post if I have to go back into WP and delete the extra one :)
    Any ideas gratefully received.
    thanks
    Neil

  2. Ajith Says:

    Hi,

YouTube videos are not getting posted correctly. I paste the embed code from YouTube. However, when the post is displayed, the YouTube link has the last part (after /v/ ) removed. Thus its not getting loaded.

  3. Garth Kidd Says:

Under WordPress 1.3, QuickPost displays the following error:

WordPress database error: [Table 'xxx_wordpress.wp_categories' doesn't exist]
    SELECT cat_ID,cat_name FROM wp_categories ORDER BY cat_name

I’m having the same issue as Ajith. Regardless of any embed code I place, it always puts in youtube embed code which doesn’t link to any video.

  6. Mo Kakwan Says:

So I “tinkered” with quickpost.php and quickpost-admin.php and got a new “embed” catagory that would allow me to paste any embed code. If you’d like my changes please email me.

I have added functionality for wordpress 2.3. Please update your version if you are using 2.3. If you aren’t using 2.3, don’t update your version.

  8. Garth Kidd Says:

Thanks, Josh! Categories now work, but the plugin claims to be version 3.1 and photo postings turn up with img src=”".

I really liked your posting about this, and I’ve seen a few more like it recently – the best part about yours is, it’s very informative and useful and full of good information without a bunch of usless rants and BS!

I’ll be sure to give this URL to some friends

    Thanks Again
