Dino Power # 43: Mary Schweitzer
“It’s Triassic Dino Poop!”
In this episode of Horse Power Video we cater to the kids! Mary Higby Schweitzer is a paleontologist at North Carolina State University and the first researcher to identify and isolate soft tissues from a 65 million year old fossil bone. More recently, Schweitzer’s work has provided further evidence of the link between birds and dinosaurs. When she is not discussing the finer points of petrified dino poop with kids, Schweitzer is researching reproductive strategies in dinosaurs and their bird relatives.
